Every family has a horror story or two about some airline travel experience. Here is ours in the form of a letter we sent to KLM/Northwest airline after being effected by their mechanics strike in Amsterdam on July 27, 2002. At some point (after being lied to about many things, including being told that no hotels were available) my three year old daughter said, Why did they [KLM/NWA] lie to us. Lying isn't nice.
